Privacy

The short version

This site sets one cookie of its own, and Google Analytics sets a couple more. There are no accounts and no advertising.

The cookie

When you confirm at the age gate that you are 18 or older, the site sets a cookie named age_ok with the value 1. It expires after one year, is sent only to this site, and exists so that you are not asked the same question on every page. Delete it in your browser and the age gate comes back. That is all it does.

What is not collected

Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-YY8LVP2RSS) runs here to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* and reports the page you are on, the page that sent you, your approximate location and your browser and device type; Google processes that as our analytics provider, and a content blocker or Google’s opt-out add-on stops it. Beyond that there are no accounts, no forms that send data anywhere, no embedded video or media, no third-party fonts or scripts, and no advertising. Images and fonts are served from this site’s own domain.

Server logs

Like any web server, the one behind this site writes requests (IP address, page, time, browser string) to short-lived logs that are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are not used to build profiles and are rotated automatically.
